About the Journal

Health Community Engagement (HCE) is a scientific journal published by the Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya that serves as a platform for disseminating the results of community service activities in the health sector. This journal focuses on the application of science and health technology to empower communities and improve public health sustainably.

HCE welcomes original articles based on community engagement activities that apply evidence-based approaches, participatory methods, and cross-sector collaboration. The scope includes various health disciplines such as environmental health, nursing, nutrition, midwifery, dental health, and public health in general.

The journal is published three times a year (April, August, and December) and implements a peer-review process to ensure the scientific quality and credibility of each article. HCE is open to academics, professionals, and stakeholders committed to strengthening the role of higher education institutions in promoting community health.
