The role of the family in maintaining the health of family members is very important, especially in caring for chronic diseases, including non-communicable diseases, which currently tend to increase, including cases of stroke. As providers of care for sick family members, informal caregivers must also be in optimal health and free from the burden of care. This community service activity aimed to improve the caregiver's ability to care for stroke patients, achieve adaptive coping mechanism, and monitor their health status. This community service activity was carried out in the work area of the Perak Timur Community Health Center in Surabaya in August 2021. A total of 30 caregivers participated in family supportive therapy activities with 5 cadres, and health checks were carried out. Community service activities used media in the form of PowerPoint presentations, modules, leaflets, health measurement tools (tension meters; portable random blood sugar checks; cholesterol; and uric acid), and burden caregiver assessment instruments. The results of the burden caregiver assessment showed a decrease in the burden category although it was still very minimal. The caregiver's health data also showed some of the health risks they experience, including blood pressure, mostly in the category of hypertension, having a history of the disease (hypertension, diabetes, and hypercholesterolemia), and laboratory results, most of which also exceed normal values (hypercholesterolemia). The caregiver should also receive attention and support from their internal and external support systems so that they remain in the best condition to continue to be able to provide support and care for family members who have had a stroke or weakness due to other cases.
